Miracles are alive and well!

Whats the chances of finding a hearing aid (one inch in length) on a golf course (Burstow) 1,000 -1, or 1,000,000 -1.

Such a thing happened today, luckily i remembered when i took it out of my ear (halfway down the 2nd fairway)
and where i noticed it had slipped thro a hole (unnoticed) in my pocket (halfway down the 4th fairway) quick look around no joy, carried on with the game, then myself and collegue went over the ground concerned, including a dried out pond, (needles and haystacks came to mind) still no joy.

Went into clubhouse for food and drink, word had got around (much hilarity) halfway thro two ladies (you know me) said they would cover the ground again, myself later went to join them, no joy til we got to the pond, bushes and trees, i clambered down slipping and sliding and suddenly espyed this silvery shape laying on some dried up mud, eureka i cried running up the embankment (with clothes on i must admit) clutching this valuable earpiece. You really couldn't make this up could you? Absolutely amazing, i will never doubt him 'up there' again!!

I thought i must have a go on the lottery tomorrow!

So you were with two ladies, in the bushes?... You sly old Fox.

As chat up lines go, that's quite original "Excuse me my dear, can you help me find my hearing aid?"

Glad you found it.

The only trouble with that chat up line is that you will never hear the answer!

Perhaps a slap in the face or dragged into the bushes are a No or a Yes.

The antics of he and his mate John Monk as far as the ladies were concerned, used to be the talk of Keepers Corner back in the late sixties !
