G and S

Postby andrew on 05 May 2015, 19:20

For those who don't know, my title stands for Gilbert and Sullivan.
I have only just seen the notice outside the Haven Centre announcing that the Pirates of Penzance will be present there at the end of this month.
How has it taken Crawley Down so long to discover the wonderful music of Sir Arthur Sullivan, and the beautifully sarcastic wit of Mr Gilbert ?
May I wish this performance the greatest success, and that it will lead on to productions of some of their other joint masterpieces. I most certainly will be present .

I think it is the Crawley Operatic Society performing it Andrew. It is always good to see the centre being used for its intended purpose.
